Our Experience with Virtual Goggles
In our English lesson today, we had a lot of fun in London. Well, not really in London — and by “not really,” we mean something we will explain to you now.
At the beginning of the lessons, our two English teachers, Mr. Jordan and Mr. Pregernig, told us that we will do a virtual tour through London today!
We put on the VR goggles and scanned a QR code to watch a short sightseeing tour through London, which felt very realistic. „I almost forgot that we were in the classroom“ was the comment of one of us right after the tour! We saw different places in London, many beautiful sights, and lots of different people.
In our opinion, the best moment was when we turned around and then — boom! — a tiny, cute squirrel eating a nut was right in front of us. After that, we continued exploring and saw many more sights.
After the tour we got a work sheet with Q/As about the sights during the tour to proof our knowledge!
We would do it again in a heartbeat! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
